Work Permits
Approximately one-in-four workers in Canada are immigrants; small business owners often look to hire temporary foreign workers to fill vacancies. Wings to Canada works with employers from various industries to fill job vacancies.
Foreign nationals who wish to work in Canada are generally required to have a job offer from a Canadian employer to obtain a work permit. Before being eligible to apply for a work permit, the potential employer might need to apply for a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) from Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).
Our consultants have the expertise to work with qualified employers on the LMIA application process from start to finish. Some temporary workers are exempt from the requirements for obtaining a work permit as set out in Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA).
